I was lucky
enough to
discover my
passion for art
and design as a
young student of
a talented and
inspirational
art teacher. I
found I was most
happy and
productive while
pursuing art
related
activities. I
began to
experience the
joy of looking
at the world
through an
artist’s eye.
I followed my
passion and
started my
career in the
fashion industry
after receiving
my degree in
Fine Arts. While
studying at the
Fashion
Institute of
Technology in
New York I was
offered an
internship that
led to a
position as a
textile fabric
designer. I have
developed
countless
numbers of
designs for
textiles such as
scarves, bathing
suits and
dresses. Our
customers were
frontrunners in
the industry and
included Ralph
Lauren, Neiman
Marcus,
Federated Dept.
Stores and many
others.
After working as
a designer for
over ten years I
started a family
and chose to
concentrate on
the important
task of raising
my daughter.
When she entered
kindergarten I
opened an
antique business
on Long Island.
My interest in
vintage jewelry
began to take
shape at this
time and I
started to
design and make
my own jewelry.
I found that
making jewelry
was the perfect
outlet for my
passion and
skills as a
designer.
I now have my
own jewelry
business that
allows me to
create and
experiment with
a wide range of
styles, from
elegant pieces
for wedding and
formal wear to
fun and funky
pieces for the
fashion forward
customer. It
also allows me
to share my
passion, skills
and knowledge
with others who
share an
interest in the
fashion and
design world.
