You can be famous at any age! If your child (or you)
is always watching fashion shows, or flipping
through fashion magazines, this is the place for
you. Take a chance and join our Fashion Competition
and Runway Show! This is your chance to have a
showplace for your creative projects; knitting and
crochet projects will be eligible as well as sewed
garments.
If your child (or
grandma) is creative, if they are interested in
fashion in a hands-on way, and wants to show what
they can achieve, we have a place for you! There are
three age groups: Child, (ages 6-12), Teens (ages
13-18) and Adult (19 and over). Exciting prizes for
1st,
2nd,
and 3rd
place!
See where you stack up with the competition! This is
great way to see where your final results compare to
people in your own age group. Meet people with your
interests and passions! Are you a small sewing
school or design-related vendor? Come and network
with your clientele! This event will have excellent
press coverage; in both print and television media.
The best 50 designs will
be selected for the fashion show. The fashion show
will be July 3rd
in Manhattan, in the center of the fashion industry.
Each age group will have its own time to shine on
the runway. Ticket Info for the fashion show and
guest passes will be available after May 1st
on our website. There is a reception following the
fashion show – come and meet famous fashion
designers.
Requirements:
The participant must sew the clothes (or knit or
crochet) by themselves. Each age bracket should
design clothes for people of the same age. A parent
can assist, but the finished garment must be
completed by the participant/designer.

- If selected, you
must provide your own model; you are encouraged to
be your own model.

to wear clothes only - think about accessories to
complete your look.

be featured in a special fashion publication
specifically for designers who sew.
- If selected,
participation in dress rehearsal is required,
accommodations are the responsibility of the
participant.
- Samples must be
