"ZHANNA FASHION DESIGNS" knitting classes available for children and adults, our ongoing sewing classes are an excellent place to enjoy the learning process. ZHANNA shares her skills and love of crochet. |
Our classes provide plenty of time for the instructor to answer questions individually.
You'll appreciate the encouragement and benefit from the answers to your most challenging knitting questions. |
| Class meets once a week for approx. 1 hours. |

This class is
for beginners or
for those who
are still
learning the
basics. Start by
learning to cast
on, crochet,
purl and
combination
stitches. By the
third week, you
will be ready to
start a project.
We have
experienced,
patient teachers
for every level
in almost any
knitting or
crocheting
technique you
can imagine! |

Have you just
learned to knit
and want to know
more? During
this series you
will learn
several ways to
cast on, bind
off, increase
and decrease.
You will
continue to
learn about
stitch
construction and
correcting
mistakes. You
will become
familiar with
reading knitting
patterns as well
as how to read
the yarn ball
band. With
that knowledge,
you will go on a
"field trip" in
the studio and
learn to select
yarn for a
project that you
can begin in
class: choose
from a sampler
scarf, hat,
wrist warmers.

There is
still more to
learn.
Expands on the
several ways to
cast on,
increase and
decrease, how to
"read" your
stitches, to fix
mistakes and we
will focus on
neat edges. You
will learn more
about reading
patterns and how
to use patterns
as inspiration
so that you may
customize to
your size and
taste.

We are willing
to offer PRIVATE
crochet classes
if the posted
schedule does
not fit with
yours. Beginning
knitters or
those who need
help with
specific
projects (like
interpreting
patterns) can
request private
time with a
teacher for $30
per hour. If you
need this
service, please
call in advance
so there is not
a conflict of
schedule. |

When you
sign up for a
class, be sure
to check out the
list of supplies
you will need to
have. In some
classes, the
yarn selection
process is part
of the class,
but for many
classes you need
to come prepared
with yarn, hook,
and gadgets! For
Beginning levels
of Crochet
classes, you
will purchase a
ball of
variegated
cotton and a
short needles on
the day of the
class. You will
have homework
between the
first and second
week of class. |
